Meet the Team

Zoey Bowdler

Zoey is the Director and a Trainer within Empty Hands Defence and is located in Surrey. Zoey has been in the training environment for over 16 years training Police Officers and civilians within various skill fields. She has delivered training to both the public and private sectors including Health Care Authorities, Charities and Schools.  Zoey is fully First-Aid qualified including advanced First-Aid techniques and in the use and application of the Automated External Defibrillator and she also holds a BTEC Level 3 qualification in Self Defence Instruction. In January 2015 Zoey achieved her BTEC Level 4 Certificate in the Lifelong Learning Sector (CTLLs). Zoey has also attained her BTEC Level 3 qualification in both Conflict Management and Personal Intervention/Restraint in September 2015.

 

David Koch

David is a Trainer with Empty Hands Defence and is located in Oxfordshire. David has been in the training environment for over 24 years training Police Officers in various tactical skills. He is a fully qualified First Aid Instructor and holds a BTEC Level 3 qualification in Self Defence Instruction. David has been involved in delivering training to both public and private sectors including Health Care Practitioners and local Care Trusts. In his spare time David is a volunteer reader at his local primary school and assists the younger children during their ‘forest school’ activities. In January 2015 David achieved his BTEC Level 4 Certificate in the Lifelong Learning Sector (CTLLs) and in April 2015 David was awarded his BTEC Level 2 Certificate in First Person On Scene (FPOS).
